As of January 2nd, 30-year fixed rates decreased by 2 basis points to 3.72% in the week. Rates were down from 4.44% from a year ago. Interest rates are likely to remain low throughout 2020. This is great news!
Seriously, who would have believed these historically low rates would continue? Now is a great time to invest in real estate especially if you live in the DFW metroplex.
Just last week, I was in a Keller Williams’ training program for top producers and I consistently heard during the sessions that this is the perfect time to buy investment properties. Home appreciation is still outpacing wage growth in 76% of the country and there remains a large segment of the population that is unable to buy a home. Therefore, many continue renting and that is a great opportunity for the real estate investor.
