Texas’ population boom continues, and our neighbors in the northern part of the state are leading the nation when it comes to growth. The Associated Press reports that the Dallas-Fort Worth area led the country in new residents from 2017 to 2018. The U.S. Census Bureau showed that Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington grew by 131,700 residents from 2017 to 2018.
Even more fascinating, the entire DFW area since 2010 has gained over a million residents in that time frame. The Dallas areas ranks as the fourth most populous areas in the country. Overall as a whole state, Texas has grown their population by 3.5% due to births and migrations since 2010. So now you know why traffic seems to get worse every year! Still, it’s cool to see Texas leading the nation in yet another field. Ours is a prosperous state in which to live, and as our success continues, you can count on more people moving here and starting families.
